Add a handmade touch to your Christmas tree with this adorable mini wreath decoration! This simple and fun craft is perfect for parents and children to do together, bringing festive cheer to your home. Follow these easy steps to create your own mini wreaths.
What you'll need:
Green card
Green wool
Mini pompoms (or other embellishments)
Ribbon
String
Glue
Scissors
How to:
Use the green card to cut out a circle with a hole in the middle, creating the shape of a wreath. To get the perfect shape, use two round objects of different sizes to trace the outer and inner circles. Our circle measured about 7cm in diameter, but you can make yours larger or smaller depending on your preference.
Separate a small ball of green wool from your main ball of wool. Make sure the smaller ball is just small enough to pass through the hole in the middle of your circle.
Begin wrapping the wool around your circle base, making sure to cover it completely. Keep the wool tight and evenly spaced as you go. For a fluffier, “puffy” look, wrap a second layer of wool over the first. When finished, tuck the end of the wool under one of the layers to hide it.
Tie a small bow with your ribbon and attach it to the top of the wreath for a festive touch. At the same time, loop a piece of string through the top of the wreath to create a hanger for your decoration.
Use glue to attach mini pompoms or other embellishments around the wreath. Leave your wreath to dry completely before hanging it up.
