These cute little cats are so much fun to make - and even more fun to play with! We loved this activity so much that we ended up with six unique kitties, tons of laughs, and some sweet quality time together.
What you'll need:

Empty paper rolls (toilet paper or kitchen roll)
Paint (we used acrylic, but pens or watercolours work too!)
Paintbrushes
Scissors
Glue
How to:
1. Cut Out Your Cats

Start by cutting small triangles into the top of the paper roll to create pointy cat ears.
Don’t throw away the leftover bits! You'll use one of those pieces to cut out your cat’s tail.

Cut a wavy tail from the scraps—round at the bottom, pointy at the top, and shaped like it’s ready to swish!
2. Decorate Your Cats

Paint a fun fur pattern on the tails and all over your paper roll. We chose brown and beige paint, but feel free to go wild with rainbow colours or glittery details! On the front add a cute cat face with eyes, whiskers and little noses.
Let your cats dry completely before moving on!
3. Add the Tail

Once the paint is dry, glue your tail onto the back of the roll. Let everything dry fully.

Ready to play! Now you’ve got your very own handmade cat crew, perfect for storytelling, pretend play, or just sitting cutely on a shelf.

This craft activity was inspired by our adorable cat-themed photo shoot. If you Want to capture some magical moments of your little one with our creative photo sessions? Check out all the details on our website!
