This rainbow card making was the perfect activity for my daughter as she loves rainbows, painting and writing cards for her friends. I'm sure your kids will love it too!
We did this during the holidays when I always try to come up with things to do at home. She was happily entertained and could also practise her writing skills. What's not to like?
You'll need:
2 sheets of white A4 card
paint of your choice (we used opaque watercolours)
glue
scissors
pencil
cotton wool
How to:
Fold one A4 card in half. Draw on a rainbow shape and cut out keeping parts of the fold intact (so it can open and shut).
On a second piece of card draw two clouds and cut them out. They should be big enough to cover the rainbow ends.
Paint your rainbow and leave to dry.
Meanwhile glue bits of cotton wool onto the clouds keeping their shape visible.
Once the rainbow has dried glue on your clouds and leave to dry.
Now all that's left to do is write a kind message and drop the rainbow card off at your friend's house.
Happy crafting! Let me know if your children enjoyed it!
This craft activity is inspired by our Rainbow photo shoot, which I am offering as one of our outdoor portrait photo sessions over the summer months. Find out more here!
